Anna Gare has been a part of the TV Cooking world for many years, and is much loved by the Australian audience. Anna has won the hearts of many people while hosting and cooking on prime time television shows for the past two decades.

Before deciding to devote her life to good food, Anna spent her teens singing in an all girl band (The Jam Tarts), and she toured extensively in Australia and the UK while developing a devoted following, but even then Anna’s passion for food was never far from her thoughts. She poached asparagus in hotel kettles, ironed salmon (until medium rare) on dressing room ironing tables and wilted spinach with her hair drier before gigs.... very rock n'roll! 

After leaving the band, Anna set up her own catering business, the highly innovative Deluxe catering in Fremantle, Western Australia which she ran for 12 years. It wasn’t long however before Anna’s passion for food and her love of performing combined, leading her to a new and busy career in Television and cooking shows. These shows were not only innovative but gave Anna the platform to let her warm, funny and infectious personality shine through. Shows included Junior MasterChef, The Great Australian Bake-off, The Best in Australia and Quickies in my Kitchen which featured Anna preparing quick easy recipes while chatting with high profile guests. 

More recently, Anna has been back on our screens as the presenter for Channel Nine's popular Sunday evening show - Getaway and excitingly her own TV show - Anna Gare's Cab Fare which is airing on Channel Nine and in over 50 countries Worldwide.

Anna is passionate about inspiring people to cook and enjoy healthy homemade meals. Her contagious energy, charisma and simple delicious recipes have made her an audience and brand favourite and she is invited to dozens of festivals and shows around the country to talk, demonstrate and teach the audience. She’s worked closely with a number of organisations and is the Ambassador for Buy West, East Best and also Ambassador for the Great Southern Region. She continues to MC at both corporate and local events and works closely with a number of Government Bodies to promote the region’s food and travel. 

Anna has also written three cookbooks titled Homemade-simple delicious food, Eat in and most recently Delicious Everyday.
